PODCAST | E33 | OMG! It's the #warmweatherKAL!

Oh, it has been a while since I have updated with a podcast episode. Almost a month? Yeesh! I swear I have my reasons (mostly injury-related) but that hasn't stopped me from sharing all the things I have been working on. This is a packed episode that is completely inspired by the warm weather we are having here in Calgary. I hope you enjoy it!

Beach Tank by Mild Woman

I have already made two versions of this tank and I love them both! I am currently working on a third version that has a split hem and uses self-striping sock yarn held together with a DK-weight superwash merino. Sure, it may be a little warm for summer but perfect for working in a heavily air-conditioned library when paired with a cute Pen Pal Cardigan vest.

This pattern is perfect for confident beginner knitters looking for their next challenge. I could not recommend this pattern enough!

Anaheim by Andi Satterlund

Oh, Andi Satterlund, how I love you! I am working up my version of this cardigan with some DK-weight wool from The Fawn and The Fox in the Poolside colourway. The yarn was originally destined to be a skirt but I quickly scrapped it in favour for a project that will accommodate all my nacho eating. I'm calling my version of this cardigan the Poolside in Anaheim and I'm absolutely in love.

And a cool thing about this sweater? I am knitting it entirely continental! Now that I have learned how to effectively execute the Norwegian Purl I feel pretty unstoppable.

The #warmweatherKAL!

Yes! You heard that right! I am launching a new knit-along called the #warmweatherKAL which will be happening over on Instagram. The start date for this KAL is June 1! For more information click here.

In an effort to keep the summer vibes going, I thought I would share some of the music I'm listening to and loving as I knit. S2K2: Warm Weather Music can be found on both YouTube and Spotify. The playlist will be updated throughout the summer months so make sure you subscribe/follow for updates!
